Unless clearly stated otherwise, 961Cars.com does not own, inspect, certify, sell, finance, deliver, or guarantee any vehicle listed on the platform. Vehicle listings are provided by dealers, private sellers, or platform administrators.
Any sale, negotiation, inspection, payment, registration, transfer, warranty, or agreement related to a vehicle is handled directly between the buyer and the seller or dealer.
3. Eligibility
By using 961Cars.com, you confirm that:
- You are legally able to use online marketplace services in your location.
- You will provide accurate and complete information when creating an account, submitting a listing, or contacting a seller.
- You will use the platform only for lawful purposes.
- You will not use 961Cars.com to post false, misleading, fraudulent, illegal, or harmful content.
If you are using 961Cars.com on behalf of a dealership, company, or other organization, you confirm that you have permission to act on its behalf.
4. Accounts

By submitting a listing, you confirm that:
- You have the right to list the vehicle.
- The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- The photos and content you upload are owned by you or you have permission to use them.
- The listing does not violate any law, third-party rights, or platform rules.
- The vehicle is not listed in a misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive way.
961Cars.com may review, edit, hide, reject, remove, or reclassify listings at its discretion, including listings that appear incomplete, misleading, suspicious, duplicated, inappropriate, or inconsistent with marketplace quality standards.
6. Dealer pages and dealer accounts
Dealer pages are intended to help car dealers present their business information and available inventory.
Dealers are responsible for keeping their business details, contact information, location, logos, and vehicle inventory accurate and up to date.
961Cars.com may approve, reject, suspend, or remove dealer pages or dealer access if a dealer provides false information, abuses the platform, misuses customer leads, posts misleading listings, or violates these Terms.
A dealer account or page does not mean that 961Cars.com endorses, guarantees, certifies, or is responsible for that dealer’s vehicles, services, pricing, or business practices.
7. Buyer and visitor responsibilities
Buyers and visitors are responsible for making their own checks before buying or committing to a vehicle.
Before completing any vehicle transaction, users should independently verify important details, including but not limited to:
- Vehicle ownership and registration.
- Vehicle condition and history.
- Mileage and service history.
- Accident or damage history.
- Outstanding finance, legal, or registration issues.
- Price, payment terms, and transfer requirements.
- Seller or dealer identity.
961Cars.com does not guarantee the accuracy of any listing and is not responsible for any transaction, loss, dispute, or issue that arises between a buyer and a seller or dealer.
8. Contacting sellers and leads
961Cars.com may allow users to contact sellers or dealers through phone, WhatsApp, contact forms, or other communication methods.
When you contact a seller or dealer through the platform, relevant contact and inquiry details may be shared with that seller or dealer so they can respond.
Communications, negotiations, meetings, inspections, and transactions between users and sellers or dealers take place at the users’ own responsibility.
Users must not misuse seller or dealer contact information, send spam, harass others, or use contact details for unrelated marketing or unlawful purposes.
9. User content and uploaded materials
You may upload or submit content such as vehicle photos, listing descriptions, profile images, dealer logos, business information, and messages.
By submitting content to 961Cars.com, you grant 961Cars.com permission to host, store, display, format, reproduce, and use that content as needed to operate, promote, moderate, and improve the platform.
You remain responsible for the content you submit. You must not upload content that:
- Is false, misleading, fraudulent, abusive, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or illegal.
- Infringes another person’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

If paid dealer packages or advertising services are introduced, the applicable commercial terms will be communicated before payment or activation.

17. Limitation of liability
